All Aboard Erie hosted its annual meeting on Monday October 21st, at 6:00 pm, in the Admiral Room of the Blasco Library, 160 East Front Street.
Mark Spada, the President of the Western Pennsylvanians for Passenger Rail Association, spoke about passenger rail. His organization has been very successful in advocating for Amtrak service between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.

Mark Spada has had a number of engineering and business development positions in the transportation equipment industry, as well as business development and consulting positions with third-party logistics firms.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a master’s degree in industrial administration from Purdue University.
In addition to his leadership of WPPR, Spada is also a council member for the Rail Passengers Association.
WPPR has had success in advocating for enhanced Amtrak service through Pittsburgh. In 2014 it partnered with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership to create a report: On Track to Accessibility, Increasing Service of the Pennsylvanian: Benefits and Costs. The mission of WPPR is more and better passenger rail service for western Pennsylvanians.
